Global China Academy
Global China Academy (GCA) Global China Academy (GCA) is a UK-based independent worldwide fellowship 院士制机构 that encourages comprehensive studies on China in the social sciences and humanities. Taking language-based global or comparative perspectives, emphasizing social creativity, transculturality, and transdisciplinary approaches, it aims to add to the sum of human knowledge. It also encourages participation in global society building and governance. All of this is achieved through the dissemination of academic research, knowledge transfer, social consultancy and public engagement.
Our publishing subsidiary, Global Century Press (GCP), publishes journals and books that support our social and academic missions of facilitating understanding between China and the rest of the world. GCP is the only independent platform dedicated to publishing uncensored work on China. GCA also encourages participation in global society building and governance through its annual Global China Dialogues (GCDs), a discourse platform facilitating communication between the Chinese and the rest of the world.
Global China Academy is registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO, Charity No. 1198983). GCA was formerly known as CCPN Global and Global China Institute (Charity No. 1154640).
GCA has maintained its independence since its founding and is committed to transparency regarding its sources of funding. GCA’s funding sources are open to scrutiny at any time by anyone and are available upon request from ‘Contact Us’ form at the end of the GCA homepage. Additionally, GCA’s constitution is also available upon request.
